I’m not married, yet I’ve always admired beautiful engagement rings. I often found myself wondering what mine would look like — even without the conviction or desire to be married. That curiosity led me to a deeper question: why do women wait to be gifted the things they want?

Why do we save beautiful jewellery for milestones, permission, or someone else’s timing?

I believe women deserve beautiful things simply because they want them — because they’ve earned them, because they can, and because no reason is needed at all.
